Introduction
To play guitar you can accumulate and use a large ammount of equiptment and effects, or use simply a single guitar and amplifier combo. This depends on the style of music you wish to play, and also on your budget, but the key pieces of equiptment you will need, is a guitar, and assuming you are playing electric, an amplifier.
As you advance, you will no doubt find the need, or at least the desire, to increase the ammount of equipment you use with your guitar. These take the form of accessories which enhance your personal experience, such as straps, strings, plectrums and effects, which can all alter the sound you make.
